Jaclyn Patras

Jaclyn was an award winning competitive dancer from the time she was 7 years old.
She trained extensively in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical
Theatre, Hip Hop, Jazz Funk, and Acro. Through Performing Arts Educators of Canada,
she passed her examinations in all disciplines with Honours. Alongside her studio
training, Jaclyn also attended High School at Etobicoke School of the Arts, where she
was introduced to Modern technique.
Following High School, Jaclyn’s technical training continued at Toronto Metropolitan
University (Formerly Ryerson University) where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts
in Performance: Dance. During her time at TMU, she received the prestigious Dance
Award (2016), and graduated on the Dean’s List.
Jaclyn was a member of the Toronto Argonauts Dance/Cheer Team, and in 2017 was
fortunate enough to participate in Grey Cup win where she danced alongside Shania
Twain and SonReal. In recent years, Jaclyn has worked with renowned
Choreographers, and has trained extensively in Toronto, Los Angeles, and New York
City.
For more than 10 years Jaclyn has been an award winning Choreographer and Dance
Teacher. She has choreographed numerous routines and has attended endless
competitions and conventions with her students.
Jaclyn is continuously partaking in seminars, workshops, and online events surrounding
working with children. In 2023, she will be continuing her education as she works
towards her Masters of Education. Jaclyn places a big focus on creating a positive and
friendly environment for all her classes, and is looking forward to her time at Allegro!
